valve tapping

i already searched the topic and i noticed no one mentioned anything about their rpms jumpin up fast. well i had my friend do a compression test on my sohc(160 all across =( ..and after i put the spark plugs back..i started the car and hear this annoying tapping noise around cylinder 3, and when i step on the gas the exhaust sounds like a wrx(that distinct rumble noise) and the car accelerates poorly now..anybody go thru the same issue?

Check your spark plug wires for the correct firing order. It should be 1-3-4-2 from the distributor but as long as you didn't disconnect the wires from there then you shouldn't have to worry about it. The #1 wire should go to the 1st cylinder hole, #2 in the 2nd cylinder and etc. That should fix it.
