i just got my silks on yesterday. i've only been able to drive about 10-15 miles on them so far if that. so far so good. i was wondering if there is a specific break in i should do for them. there is an auto cross test and tune tomorrow (sunday) about 50 miles from home. so ill be driving to that. should i worry about autocrossing brand new coilovers? should i just take it easy? or is there nothing to worry about? thanks. i wasnt able to search because i gotta be to work...hopefully there isnt a thread on this already.

Well since you are going to be driving hard, I would just go and double check everything and makes it tight. There is no break in period required though

the only break in period i have ever heard of with coils is after u put em in to drive it a lil, prolly 5-10 miles would be sufficient, to allow things to settle before you get an alignment. but that is just something i have heard.

But that's not breaking in the coilovers. The person doing the alignment is supposed to bounce the car and drive it before it's aligned anyways.

best way is to put car on lift
and let it drop 7 feet to the floor
if the dampers dont blow
your set for life

haha

get an alignment and drive
