parts inside VLSD?

hey all, im in the process of putting on my 180SX VLSD onto my S13. It did not have the right output shafts so i went out and got J30 output shafts. Theres a little problem though. Looking into the 180SX diff, there seems to be some sort of washer or ring in the middle. Looking in the J30, its clear.

why don't you go into paintshop and draw a circle or something to point out exactly where you're talking about....?

edit: i don't think there is a snap ring there, but i may be wrong, can't remember....

so what's your question? it's supposed to be there, and the output shafts just pop in.

ok, if its supposed to be there, why dosn't the J30 have it? They are the same diff right?

both are VLSDs if thats what your wondering. Sorry, i dont have a camera readily avilable. What is ur rational?
