Testing Waters: AGX/Sportline setup for S13

Hey guys,
I've got a set of KYB AGXs (with strut boots) with Eibach Sportline springs on them. I'm looking to upgrade to a full coilover, so I'm just trying to see what kind of interest there is in these. The springs have a decent amount on miles on them (40k miles maybe?) but the AGX's were just put on in the last 5k miles or so. Looking to get maybe $450 for the whole setup.

Agreed, but the stuff never seems to sell either. I think its the owners willing to buy new coilovers only if their old setup fetches a certain amount of money....

I always get excited thinking there might be a good deal on some worn out lowered suspension....but no its always a rediculous asking price.

i bought RSR race springs with nearly new AGX's with upper mounts (stock) for $400....... IMO a WAY better setup, and cheaper.... id only expect 300 or so

I swear everytime I try to post something here, everyone always craps up the thread with worthless BS. This is a for sale forum, not state a your opinion forum, and last time I checked, the rules say keep your opinions to yourself. Yes, I am looking to go full coilover, but I don't need to. I have most everything else for the car except to finish the motor (Fully built KA-T in the works). I don't need to sell these, hence the title "Testing Waters." Also notice I said "looking to get around $450", people are free to make offers. Last time I checked (when I bought my AGX's) the cheapest you could find 'em was $400, didn't realize they had come down. Anyway, if anyone is interested in these, let me know. I'd prefer locals, but we'll see what happens.

buy some real coilovers... dont use the "im broke" nonsense because Tein Basics are about $700... compared to $600 for a strut/shock combo...

I never said you weren't entitled to your opinion, but I DID say that you aren't entitled to give it in my For Sale thread.

Just curious, but have you sold these yet? In your defense this is a pretty good price for AGXs/Sportlines. i say this cause Sportlines are about 200 new and AGXs run about 360 for NEW "NEW" stock, sure you'll find some guy selling AGXs for 200, but I guarantee you they're OLD "NEW" stock which means they've been sitting on the shelf for about a year or so. Just so you guys know these things have a shelf life and if they're too old before they get on a car and start "suspending" they'll wear out rather quickly and ride like crap. Has to do with the gases in them seeping out overtime. I'd take these from you but I'm going to try Tein S-techs with KYBs this time around.

So really guys, leave him alone about the sale and Upslide just ignore them. And I think you'll all agree that this post is not crapping.....just trying to straighten out the :newbie:
