Does anyone know if there is a fuel shutoff solenoid in a 240? If there is where is it?

No.
Line goes straight from the tank to the rail, with no valves/solenoids/etc in between.

Ummm....there actually IS a fuel check valve on 95 S14's. It's a safety feature built into the fuel lines in the event the car is rolled over in an automobile accident. It's supposed to be underneath the car body close to the rear gas tank. It's connected to one of the three steel gas/vapor lines that run down the length of the passenger side unibody rail. The fuel check valve regulates the vacuum/fuel vapor between the fuel tank & the carbon cannister. It's listed in the 95 FSM under Engine Control System - Evaporative Emission System...page EC-19.
Anyhow, hope this helps...

Check valve is for vapor only, not fuel. I've got one lying in the floor at the shop right now, it's fitted to the tank purge line.
