So I'm pretty sure it's the cable on my e-brake that needs to be fixed. My question is there anyone that can kinda elaborate on what I need to do a little bit. Do I need to buy a new cable, or does the cable need to be reattached? And were about is it located. Sorry for my ingorance on this, but the e-brake thing is all new to me. I'm doing my pads on Saturday and would like to get everything done at once because I'm doing an AutX event on Sun.

Please try to be a little more vague with your question.

What is specifically wrong with the ebrake? You may need to buy a new one, or it may have come loose. It might be cut in half even, or it could be covered in human feces and burning uncontrollably. How are we supposed to know what's wrong with your car?

Get under it and look at it at least before asking. And BTW, there's two cables going to the back.

Ok well the problem: When I pull the e-brake up it goes all the way up with no resistance and is not applied. Does that help at all. plan on getting under it and looking. But I really don't know waht to look for. :hs:

maybe its damaged or just loose. Why dont you go under and check the cable when your ebrake is on and see if its loose. If it is then adjust it. You should get a line wrench and a open end and you can get it done in a snap. If its damaged then just replace it.

Ok, I'm gonna give it a try. Think I should just order a new cable anyway?

Oh and I'm pretty sure it's sanpped because, one day the car was parked on a small incline and I happened to be watching the car and it just rolled back(luckily it didn't hit anything). When I went out to check it The e-brake was just completely loose and had no resistance and did not aplly at all. So, does that sound like it snapped?

a loose cable could have no resistance, If you want to spend your money on a new 1, go ahead but I would inspect it and see whats the problem. Might be snaped and need to replace more stuff so I would save another trip to the store and inspect the car first and determine what needs to be done.
