Im either gonna get silk roads or gr6s but everything is on backorder and whatnot. I know alot of people have to wait a while to get the gr6s. I was just wondering for you that have either silks or gr6s how long the wait was to recieve them. How long does it take when theyre backordered and where are some good places to get them from? Thanks
I also want some more input on both of these coils. But, dont say one is better than the other just because you have one of them. I want a real unbiased opinion.
and i dont wanna hear anything about do some research cause ive looked at every thread about these coils on this site and more

well i did my research and also the price was right for the gr-6's. i ordered mine in jnauary and they will arrive by ups monday! So im not sure if your willing to get them at the end of the summer, cause if you ordered them now thats probably when you would receive them.

Call Intec Racing and they will be very accurate on the wait time. They match prices as well. http://www.intecracing.com/ They told me that all the silkroad products come thru them anyway so they are your best bet it seems.

I believe he was trying to state that if you want good coilovers without having to wait for months, then SPL are available in only a few weeks time. For once he wasn't trying to be an ass. :D

in outher words, theres an alternative for your wait. coilovers that are similar in function and quality. although, silkroads are best in that department.
gr6 wouldnt even be an option in my book. it takes weeks to get them. and what if they blow? u gonna wait a few months for them to get rebuild?

because buddy clubs retail around 1500. they're not as cheap as kts or some of these other brands. i've heard good things from the few people who do have them though.

as someone further up said. just buy what you want. don't let the backorder detail change your entire mindset on things. that's just a silly reason to change your mind. buy what you want and wait.

I got them from Auto RnD. I got lucky and they had 1 set for the S14 that wasn't presold. When they finally got the container, they shipped them out on monday or so. They are installed, and are awesome!

If you are looking for silkroads I just ordered a set yesterday and they are on the way to me (4-6 days).
Give Brian at MA-Motorsports a call, he told me silkroad had gotten a small shipment...

man, i really think you'd be just as satisfied (if not more so) with owning a set of KTS coils. they're incredibly high quality and you can have some change left over for some spl pro tie rod ends and RUCA to help line things back up once you lower it.
besides... they're fuggin chrome, anodized blue, and black... what mroe can you ask for?!
