have you sat in an A4 before??? are you considering any other seats? is the car used for daily driving with the occassional drift session or is it daily driven and drifted more than occassionally?

For the love of god, please drop the drifting references. People do other things in their cars than just drifting.

*******

i can tell you right now i have stock A4's in my car with un modified corbeau brackets, and its terrible\
i already removed the sliders (to get another 1/2" lower), and luckily its the perfect seat distance for me, although i cant slide it forward or back at all.

honestly i am trying to sell my seats so i can buy a pair of FORZA's since they are able to sit a bit lower than A4's.

im only 5'9 but my hair touches the headliners, and i have no sunroof... its totally a waste of money...

just buy bottom mount seats and do it right, or buy fixed seats that sit a bit lower....
my only other choice with the A4's are to shave the bottom foam, the guys at corbeau said u can do this almost an inch and be safe, so i will shoot for like 1 1/8" that should be closer to a reasonable ass:floor positition.

if you are interested i can sell you my seats, they arent really used, but i will give them to you for a good price, since im would rather just have forza's, in fact i will do a striaght up trade... forza's for A4's, u save $200 lol..

ps i like the A4 as a seat, its not too uncomfortable , and it does hold me in. although im a pretty small build, and my narrow shoulders are not really "held in there" very well by the shoulder bolstering, but i dont think it was designed for that...

you do have the option of modifying the bracket, but if you look at the floor of the car, the stock corbeau brackets come withing 1/4" of the floor anyway because of that stupid hump.

wedgeengineering will make brackets for like $120 but he wanted me to measure all the dimensions and stuff, i figure if they dont know the dimension of what they are trying to build, it cant turn out any better than corbeau... .lol, although they are rumored to sit like 1/2" lower, which would easily make it worth the money... since you could skip the corbeau brackets which are like 80 a peice, and get the wedge ones which are 60 a peice... u mihgt as well give it a shot... ;)

the reason i'm asking what the car is used for is b/c the A4s have pretty much NO lateral support (and no that's not a drifting reference:rolleyes:).....they are a very comfortable seat for a daily driven car but i would not want to use them for any form of racing or even very spirited driving......personally i sit rather straight up when i drive so i'm going to rock a nice bucket for my seat and a nice reclineable for my passengers;)
