View Full Version : Is this a good price for S14 Lca's?
I can get s14 LCA's with bushings and balljoints, all brand new for 115 per side. Unfortunately i'd have to press s13 balljoints into them anyways, so it would be a waste. My question is, is there any place to get them cheaper without the balljoints or are these worth buying even though i'd be ditching the balljoints?

I would call venus auto. And buy some off of a s14 front clip, or go baller with s15 lcas.
What's so baller about s15 lca's?

My question is why would you want to do this? It throws the geometry way off and means you cant make up for the camber you run into when you really start lowering the car, even with plates.
why not save up for the SPL lca's?
as i understand w/ a low car you need to have a modified lower arm to compensate for the change in geometry

I want to put the S14 LCA's on for more camber. My camber plates are maxed out already, and when i look at pictures of me drifting @ full lock countersteer, it's apparent that i need more camber.

I would love to get SPL LCA's but they dont adjust camber, they adjust roll center. I supposed i could custom order S14 SPL LCA's with S13 ball joints, but the cost is high, plus it would need an uber custom alignment and the cost isnt justified to me at this time. If i was road racing on the other hand, i would have picked up all the SPL stuff already.
yeah i know they adjust roll center
i donno exactly wht the deal is w/ S14 LCA's on S13's so i guess i shouldnt chime in when i dont know

well they are just 10 or 15 mm longer so they give you more negative camber, that's the only difference. You can press in an s13 ball joint if you wanna use them on an s13 spindle

switch to silkroad. -6 degree camber no problem. IT's the SHIT YO... IT's weird that I can't set my damn suspension to positive camber. THe closest to positive camber for me is -1... My camber plate is maxed out at -1 degree. Well if I want to go negative, Silkroad can go REALLY negative.

eccentric bolts arent my thing, but if the control arms dont do the job then i'll go with those.

Damn my s14 has really bad positive camber w/ a tokico/eibach setup. I think its from when i curbed it but its still really bad probably running +3 in the front and -2 in the back and it looks like shit and understeers a lot. I might get camber plates but i just bought adjustable rucas and rear traction rods.
Is positive camber bad? I think it helps with drag racing but im more of a twisties person. I'll do research but if anyone has any pros for positive camber post them up.
I dont think i would pay more than $85 for lca. Unless its local. Most of the time i bend them break them (x4 :hammer: ) i go to car-part.com and get them really cheap.
umm...dont fix bent parts by getting camber plates

No shit i just figured it out thanks. Well actually can a bent tie rod change the camber. My tie rod is bent and i've been driving on it for about a month and so far nothing bad has happen but it think this is my problem.

Camber is changed by the lower control arms? Dammit if it is i suck. I got my lca from a junk yard that took them out for me and when i got them the hole they had, had streched. So i said fudge it i need to drive my car asap and took them.
