i was wondering if the hks wastegate actuator was adjustable, or do you just use the threads on the rod to match up to the length of the stock actuator.

alright i looked all over on different sites...found out it is adjustable to about 15-16psi....now which allows more boost...shorter or longer rod length???

The wastegate is operated off of a spring inside the wastegate, which operates when exhaust hits the valve. The whole actuator is based on the tension of the spring. With an internal wastegate you can't change it, the HKS actuator just has a tighter spring.

ok ive had this for about 2 years it is adjustable, you measure the base of the rod (where it goes into the actuator) to the hold on the end of the rod
125mm = 15lbs of boost
130mm = 10lbs of boost
135mm = stock?

I was attempting to read an Option's magazine the other day, a kid that I know who can translate helped me.Anyways, there was a thing in there that said that you can put two washers in between the actuator and the turbo. I guess it would be doing the same thing as lengthing the actuator arm. I dont know...

actually you want the arm shorter.
Puttin the washers between the actuator brakcet and the block with stock one. ;)

Is this actuator necessary to run at 11 PSi? Sorry to light up an old thread, but I figured there might be someone else wanting to know the same thing. I found this thread on my search and it wasnt any older than 2 months. Anyways, can someone help me out with that question? I have a stock T25 and a Profec B specc II, S-AFC II, and a fuel pump (stock injectors). Didn't think I would need an actuator but not sure. Thanks in advance.

The boost controller fools the actuator into opening later so you dont need an HKS one, unless your stock t25 one takes a crap.
