i was driving to the store when i ended up driving past the scene of the accident. entire street was blocked off with the mustang looked cut in half and a nissan s14 was most likely the car that hit the mustang since i didn't see the white bmw. here is what the oc register had to say.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY – A girl died today after the silver Ford Mustang she was riding in collided with another car, police said.

The accident occurred about 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Heil Avenue. The girl, whose name was not released, died at the scene.

A woman driver and two other female passengers in the Mustang were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries following the crash, Capt. Dan Llorens of the Fountain Valley Police Department said.

The other car, a white Nissan, was driven by a man who also sustained serious injuries, Llorens said. His name was not released, but a man who said he was his brother described him as an 18-year-old Anaheim resident and graduate of Magnolia High School. There were no passengers in the car.

The Nissan was speeding and racing a white BMW just before the crash, said Jose Guillen, a 26-year-old Santa Ana resident who said he witnessed the accident.

Llorens said the Mustang turned left in front of the Nissan but it was unclear who was at fault. No citations were issued pending the results of an investigation, Llorens said.

that sucks for the girl that died...

reason why you should keep racing at the track, or at lease race super late at night.

yea super late at night works prety good just be careful where u race

that works as long as its not in a residential area WHICH MOST of these accidents that appear in the newpaper occur.

Its not exactly sure if there was a speed contest. Witnesses say the 240sx was speeding and was in a right turn only lane but proceeded straight and T-boned the Mustang.

Anyway, keep speeds down.

Yeah my wife told me in the morning I turned on the news and saw it. Was just hoping it wasn't anyone I knew...

As for street racing. That's why I only race late at night on the freeway and in the mountains. That way im only a danger to myself and not a little girl. Mind you accidents still happen on the freeway but its better than doing 70 mph on a street full of women and children.
