as the title says, my friend ask me if it is possible to make the boost gauge work properly. I don't think so... but is it correct? or It can make the boost gauge works properly on N/A by wiring it to FPR?
I know this thread may be kinda stupid... but I just wanna make sure about it, thanks!

All it is is a pressure guage, of course it will work, it'll just read negative pressure (Vacuum) instead of positive pressure (boost)

What would be the point???? Does he just want everyone to think he has a turbo, until they race him????

a boost gauge on an N/A car would only read how much the engine sucks.

Thats basically it. Your just reading if there is loss of vaccum. Which you can read from the engine bay by routing any vaccum gauge from the bay to check. You can check for hesitation problems or irratic idling etc. I dont know why you want to be reading loss of vaccum ALL the time unless you knew your lines were fucked up or something but i highly doubt it. I heard about people doing this a while back but it boggles my mind like some of you.

there was a post a while back who said he had a intercooler and a fake bov on his na and his girlfriend made fun of him for it. not sure if it was on zilvia though.

yeah, i don't know why you'd bother. if you're doing it to impress people, then it is pretty useless. the car guys who would be impressed by a turbo/boost gauge would know off the bat that it isn't a turbo, and people who have no idea what boost is probably won't get impressed by a boost gauge anymore than a water temp gauge.

Dont forget the a/f narrowband as well =P
It would work if it was a gauge that showed vacuum as well as boost. If it was only boost naw

Someone should make a sticky thread called the "stupidest posts ever made on zilvia" and start with this one for our reading entertainment when people are bored hehe

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say this guy is most likely rolling on 14 inch spinner hub caps, with neon valve caps and washer nossels. Not to mention a huge Ironing board spoiler.

ahahaha his girlfriend

Paul you SOOOOO have the story wrong!

It was me.

Before I turbo-ed my KA, I mounted the intercooler, installed the engine management, and boost controller so I could have less downtime (its my get to school car). BUT I lagged on the mani/turbo install for 3 months and my g/f started making fun of me.

THATS the real story.

Now I harass her because she's lagging on her diy coilovers...
