So yah last few weekends i started fishing a lot, mostly at hermosa and redondo. I had the most luck at hermosa (caught 7 mackerel in about 2 hours).

Anyways just wondering what other good fishing spots I should check out- I might go to Catalina tomorrow.

I'd suggest the Outer Banks. If you can catch a day when the "Blues" are running, then pier fishing is a blast. We also catch alot of Mullet, rays, and a few different species of sharks. Now if you want to know about West Coast fishing, then I suggest you leave this kind of thing in regional. This isn't a California forum. :D    Give the East Coast some love, guys!

I use to fish off Redondo Beach pier. The mackrels I use to catch there were horribly rancid. They have infections in their gills and parasites living in their mouths. Oh man.. I wouldn't eat those mackrels for anything.

I rather go deep sea fishing..

But pier fishing is fun when you're with a group of friends hanging out.

The last time I went, the only thing I caught was a cold.

Not my record, i caught over 50 bluegills in a little over 1 hour.. im pretty good fishermen
