Does anyone make an S13 drift style kit for the silvia??  I really like the Veilside CL S13 silvia kit, but it's almost too flashy, and it's really expensive for just a front bumper.  I haven't been able to find any for the S13 silia, a few for the 240, but i don't think that it will work with the s13 silvia front conversion.  Plus i think that a drift kit would look great.  Thanx.

I'll give you a drift kit.  What you do is get a stock lip spoiler for a s13 and stick that on add the stock side skirt and throw two fifteen inch SSR mesh or longchamp XR4 rims on the front with the stock rims on the back. Get a set of coilover suspension with the pillow ball upper mount and replace the drivers seat with a skyline seat either out of a GTS-t or a GTR.  Everything under the hood stays stock except for maybe the intake and the exhaust.  The guys you see in the magazines with the nice cars have them because they've been doing it for ten plus years and are good enough where they can fix up a car real nice without having to worry about smashing it as bad as a newbie.

Anyone with a serious answer, cause i really don't want to take advice from a jerk with a corolla who tells people he owns a corolla in his signature.   .....So anyone who knows about a drift kit for a 240, and wants to tell me about it, without being a fag, it would be greatly appreciated

BTW...i have never owned a car that has stayed stock under the hood, and i never will unless i buy my wife a minivan, then maybe i will, but i happen to be seriously interested in the performance potential of the 240sx. &nbsp;I plan to swap in a SR20DET as my first mod, then body stuff comes second, &nbsp;I was asking about body kits because IMHO......the 240's front looks........well i don't really like it, however I do like the way an S13 silvia looks with a CL Veilside front bumper, but it's too expensive, that's why i asked if anyone knew about a drift style front bumper, cause i like the way they look. So with no more comments from the penut-homo lets move on with the thread. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

yah... u came off sorta rude there, 4wdrift, that's not a really great way to ask for help. junia happens to be a pretty nice guy that just gave u his honest opinion... no need to tease him about owning a clunker.

well anyhow, my personal opinion aside about things spoken and done with, try www.bomexaero.com

i checked out their RPS13 kits, they're pretty sweet. im sure ull find one u like there, i think they're the best around for that model.

there is a kit (the ONLY kit i've come across mind you)..

http://www.hipposleek.co.jp/d180sx.html
This kit is nice since it utilizes the S14 clear corners. very cule imo.

Takakaira sorta blows cuz it doesn't carry ALL the jdm bodykits.
speedlabs has been closed for the last 2 years as well.. that doesn't help! I heard Speedlabs could get anything for you.. at a price of course.

I guess you thought I was joking when I told you about my version of a drift kit was. &nbsp;Well, I wasn't. &nbsp; That is a typical "drift kit" that I've seen around. &nbsp;Stock body kits that came from the factory. &nbsp; The reason for that is they're usually made out of some kind of polyurethane that don't break every time you hit a curb or something. &nbsp;fifteen inch rims all the way around because they're cheaper than seventeens. &nbsp;I've seen what those drifters used to drive before they got real famous and they used to drive old corollas and starlet back when the s13's were brand spankin new. &nbsp;I'm just telling you what everyone back home has for a drift kit. &nbsp;Nobody's stupid enough to get a 1000 dollar body kit when they know they're going to slam into a guardrail or something. &nbsp; The typical rims that you see are the Longchamp XR-4, &nbsp;SSR mesh, Advan ONI's, Hayashi, &nbsp;Hoshino Impul and other old Japanese rims that have been around for years and years. &nbsp; If you want to be different from everyone else see if you can get a pair of black longchamps. &nbsp; They're not in any catalog but you have to call the company for the special color scheme or just find some from Japan. &nbsp;Oh, by the way My "Sammaru" corrola is the shiznit. &nbsp; Its gotta a whopping 50hp but its never let me down.

yeah. on hippo sleek.... how much is that front bumper and lights? yeah... on Taka Kaira how much is the mud guards under border? i'm about to get a spoiler and side skirts... i need a new front and rear valance, but i'd use the mud guards from border... thanks

the prices for the hippo sleek kit should be on that site i posted. Just look at the prices in Yen and then go to an online currency converter and figure out how much it costs, factor in shipping and you should be able to figure out how much you're looking at to spend on it.

i just found out i made quite the oversight <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>... which S13 are we talking about? hatchback or coupe?
if it's a coupe, I have another link to a drift kit as well.
I'm at the university so I'll post that when I get home.

Well... 15" rim = larger tire sidewall = don't f*** the rim up when smacking into a curb (in addition to being cheap). <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;Really though, a stiffer sidewall would be more help.

From what I hear, stuff like the Wangan "Drift" spoilers were used by drifters because they went out of style and sold extremely cheap. &nbsp; If you want a real "drift" kit, get the tackiest, cheapest crap and slap it on your car, then get a hold of some senseless custom vinyl stickers (the more senseless the better... something like "Curb Sliding Gutter Technique Team" is good) in addition to a sticker for ANYTHING you have on/in your car (if you have a Nokia cellphone, well you'd better get a Nokia sticker) and slap those puppies on. &nbsp;Viola!! You've got a "drift" kit!! [no kidding... just watch some Option vids... some amateur tapes... etc]

OEM body parts are generally stronger... but they're also sold relatively cheaply by people who get aftermarket body parts themselves. &nbsp;I'd imagine you could get your hands on a Type X front bumper from a Japan Yahoo auction if you had the connections to pay for and ship it.

there are some pretty phat kits for the 240/180....a whole lot more than for the S13 silvia, i've only found a few for it, i kinda like the S13 Silvia better, it's more appealing also b/c i'm pretty sure I'd be the only one in SC with a silvia front bumper. &nbsp;taka kaira has a S%!tload of kits....not too many for the S13 Silvia, but those flush headlights look really phat, unique too....too bad there $1300 cause i want them...so far tho i'm still gonna go with the S13 silvia front with the Veilside CL front bumper check it out. &nbsp;www.veilsideusa.com/veilsideusa/Aero/nissan/s13cif.html

Personally &nbsp;I don't like any of the aftermarket body kits that adds any kind of "roundness" to the silvia. &nbsp;I mean the ones with the oval shaped inlets and such. &nbsp; The stock NISMO front bumper is the best on imo, especially when you put a front mount intercooler behing it it looks awesome. &nbsp; Also the gold Watanabe type r rims are probably the best looking 8 spoke rims around. &nbsp; The most important element for a drift look is a battle scar. &nbsp;Whether that'd be a dent a bondo patch or sheet of fiber glass.

thats a bit rough looking but there are alot of them that look worse than that

this is a picture of the stock nismo bumper that comes with some of the silvias out there

I've seen some people customize this bumper to their own style, like giving it a bigger mouth or adding a home made lip on the bottom of the bumper and some other crazy stuff.

if your such a bad driver that you can't controll your drift with out hitting something than the only place you should be drifting is in a wide open parking lot where you can learn w/out hitting stuff. &nbsp;im new to all this but im kinda surprised at the way people say drifting is so hard to master, hell i mastered drifting in my fwd that you have to be going at least 60 in to get to drift properly on dry pavement. &nbsp;after that it was a friggin s-10, never hit crap, and here the 240sx this car that is suppost to be such an amazingly easy car to drift....alright im quitting now cuz i hate being so cocky and i feel like beating myself up for being cocky and i hate cocky people. &nbsp;but uh....right this is a pointless post by me sorry.
