Well we got it started and all last night. Drove it for 5 minutes and its driving like shit. It is running rich as shiit and its jerking, shaking, bad idle and it won't go past 40-50 mph. I currently have the 89 hud gauge which isnt working and swapping it out to my sr gauge later but it seem like it won't rev past a certain rpm im guessing. Then after the 5 minute ride it seized up and won't crank!!!!! This is what i been thinking the issue is wrong so far.
SO ISSUE # 1
Im stupid and i just noticed its a 63 ecu which is for a auto sr. Is that the problem?
# 2
I dont have an o2 sensor yet but its going on today. Maybe that is why its running really rich.
# 3
The timing is off but he said its set at 15 degrees already but i still think the timing is off?
#4
The maf is bad but i got it off my friends running sr so iono bout that either?
The wiring is good and all so i doubt that is it. But im going back today and try to troubleshoot. Anything im missing that i should check besides the spark plug being bad cuz its running rich?

What do you mean by it won't crank? The starter isn't engaging (like no power to it), or the starter can't turn over the engine?

double check all of your vital harness connections, maf, o2, cas, etc. I would imagine that it will run much better once your O2 sensor is plugged in.

Your car will run fine without the O2 sensor plugged in. If you don't know your timing, check to see if the CAS is slightly turned clockwise from the middle of its adjustment range. That is where 15BTDC is. Check your MAFS voltage and double check your wiring.
Is the motor not cranking or is it just not firing? If it's not firing, pull your plugs to see if they are black and fouled with fuel. Clean them off and fix your timing and or wiring.

Ok went and tried a few things. The timing is right at 15 we used a timing gun. We started the car today and it started. Still bogging like crazy. The spark plugs are a lil fouled. We check all the wiring to the maf and its good just didnt get to check voltage (not sure what the voltage suppose to be?). Didnt have a 62 ecu to try out but hopefully tomorrow or this weekend. My friend is thinking it might be the tps too. So im gonna install my safc2 to see what the tps is reading (im guessing .5 at 0% throttle and 4.5 at 100%?) . The weird thing is when we manually pull the throttle cable it revs and all. Then when we drive it, it just doesnt rev past a certain rpm. You think fpr would be a cause for being too rich too?
O yea heres a lil background on the motor. The car came with 555 nismo injectors and nismo clutch. It has stainless steel lines for the turbo or watever. It doesnt look like it had a stock turbo before. But i didnt even check the internals for upgrade or watever yet. Dont you think its weird with all that upgrade and it has an automatic ecu?\
and here the list on my car
300zx tt fuel pump and filter
dump pipe, downpipe and catback
precision fmic and custom intercooler piping
greddy rs bov not recirculated
put stock 370cc inejectors
ngk 6 at .032 gap

two things test the TPS without installing you SAFC you dont want to add anything until you get everything else fixed. first recirc your bov, even if it is only temporary it may help out. your larger injectors could be the problem as well because just because the ECU came to you with the car doesnt mean that is the one that was in the car when it left japan. you may also want to change out your plugs if they are fouled.

You could have a boost or vacuum leak. ALSO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WIRING!!!

I installed the 370cc injectors back. Check for vacuum leak b ut nothing found. Going back right now to check up on it. And what happens if the ecu goes to limp mode or whatever?

then go into diagnostic mode on the ECU and find out the trouble codes
the process is listed on the site along with the code definitions search for them IIRC they are in the SR FAQ but not 100%

Im so stupid. We been working on the car at night and the intercooler piping is black and my car is black so it was hard to see. I checked that shiznit and it was d/c. Then it started to idle ok. But it still wants to stall. And with the bov vented it stalls when i shift. So i installed my safc2 and it doesnt really want to stall anymore. I set the hi to 27 across the board is that right? I cant go in the lo setting and i dont know why? But i need to recirculate the bov. Im stupid but when you recirculate it, the bov goes to the intake after the maf im guessing? I have a greddy rs. But when i drive it. It accelerate sloppy, bogs and backfire like crazy. When i left of the gas it idles perfectly. My safc is installed correctly but it doesnt read speed and rev? Im tired right now so my writing is wack o well.

is your BOV leakin??? i did a swap 4 my friend and he was runin rich as fuk too. it ran horribly....till we felt all the air rushin out of the BOV at idle!! once we took care of that.....problem solved!!! ran great!!

i had the same problem, bov leaks cause stalling during shits, it wouldnt seal and would leak, also your ECU is fine, i have a 63 ECU as well, no problems.
plugs should be at .028 btw
you have a boost leak somewhere or bad wiring.

I think i do have a boost leak. I dont have time to work on the car this weekend but ill try. Thanx for the info guys. The safc2 was set all at 0 and i switched it to 27 across the boards. But do you think i should put it back to 0? My safc isnt reading the revs and speed. I know i spliced it in correctly. My throttle is reading .01 or something is that a lil low for 0 throttle? I noticed that its eating water like crazy and it starts to overheat. Dont know what causes that. But im learning so much after all this problem. Maybe it was a good thing?

damn my safc isnt turning on anymore!!!!!!!!! My safc turned off and i checked the wiring and the ground wire is off. So i reconnected it and it doesnt turn on anymore. I checked all the wiring and its good? The checked all the fuses and its good. It seem like the only thing that kept the car running is the safc now it keeps on stalling.
How do you know if the safc is shorted??

I don't know exactly what type of tone your using when your asking that question, but from the way the engine owner types his posts I wouldn't just jump to a conclusion that it's the engine.

Its not the engine. Its more of the swap and the lil things thats messing up.

Heres a lil update. My safc magically turned on. My safc works magic though. It solved everything. My bov is still vented and it doesnt stall or anything. I have no o2 and its running fine and not rich. It drives perfectly normal except on certain gear around 2400rpm it bogs but then sometimes it doesnt? Thats the only real problem i have left so im happy. Last thing of all freaken ssautoshit sent me the wrong downpipe or something. I ordered the turbo back that includes dump pipe, downpipe and catback. The dump pipe fits perfectly but then when i try to install the downpipe that shit is in the wrong position. So im just running the dump pipe on right now and its not as loud as i expected.

I think maybe its due to the fact that the motor "east water like crazy" comment. Which sounds to me like blown HG.

Well i fixed that problem. There was a leak on the radiator hose. Fixing things alittle at a time.
