This is a pretty low level question, but I'm just writing to see if anyone here has had this prob happen to them as well. I took my car to get a new clutch and now that my car actually grips to the gears, I found another prob with my car. The hard rubber bushing that's next to the front sub-frame bushing for the rear axle is missing. Kinda annoying considering that this is leading to my car popping into gears if I use too much torque. You can find these bushings on BMWs or Mercedes, etc... but wrong size and other stuff. The worst case scenario is buying a whole new subframe for the $5 part. Total cost of the subframe is $731 canadian. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise I just plan on wearing out the POS subframe and just shell out for a new one when it falls off

Thnx

http://www.courtesyparts.com/nismo/s14/s14_bushings.html

I just ordered the 18-21 set earlier today......hopefully those are the ones that are shot. I bought the car last thursday and some bushings in the rear are worn-out but I don't know which ones without dropping the rear end.

Anyhow, to finish things off, looks like getting the bushing set from Nismo is the way to go. It looks like I'm gonna need the 16/17 set, but i'm not sure. When you and counterfeit do put the bushings in please let me know if it works cause then i'm gonna have to save some major cash cause my warranty's up. According to HippoSleek, the labour is not cheap (1000-1300) and i can soo not afford that especially after putting in a new clutch. Looks like in the end, my mechanic was full of $h!t. It's so damn hard to find trustworthy mechs that actually know their stuff. got one guy in parts at a nissan dealership that actually tries, but that's about it. but thanks again and plz keep me posted.

oops... almost forgot... thanks again HippoSleek. All that info made life sooo much better.

on a side note, i'm probably gonna say screw it and go all the way and buy most of the bushings... i figure if i'm paying that much in labour, i mine as well get everything done.

Thanks again

Actually, I believe the whole job (w/ P&L is about $1000-1300). I think Campain (odd, I don't know his name) and Irena would be able to give you the exact amount. I'd check with a local shop and confirm that (i.e., don't trust me over your local shop).

I plan on installing mine with a couple of friends, I will not know if I even ordered the right set until I get under the car . I will let everyone know what I find. I though they would come in today but I haven't been home yet to see.
