yep my car was running fine until today when i was driving home from school, went over some little bumpy road as usual then i noticed my car stalled. So i start her up again and drove it, but, the car wouldnt go pass 1500 rpms without shaking the whole car and running rich. in neutral the car wouldnt rev past 2500 rpms, its not the afm, I changed it with a friend and its the same thing, so which parts can be fucked up? this is a redtop in a s14 zenki. the car was runing for a year without problems.

Sounds like your MAF is going bad...

Or you have a vac leak somewhere

Yea, sounds like a coupler came loose or something. Check all your piping to see if you have leaks. By now, your plugs are probably getting pretty fouled too.. so you might as well check/change that. If your plugs are all black, then they need to be cleaned, or better yet, replaced as they're cheap.

bad temp sensor(not resistor) will dump fuel too.

It's your maf, check all wires and connections to the MAF.

well i checked the maf, the harness, and hoses, all worked, maybe its the ECU.

I had a similar problem

Same thing, stalled - wouldn't rev past 2500

But when i put it into gear it also stalled

It's at the shop now and they ran the MAF through a computer and it went bad, so I'm getting a z32 maf put in, hopefully i'll be good, if you're still wondering I'll keep you posted.

(Should be back tomorrow -- or i'll flip)

Did you try pulling codes first?

It's not letting you rev over 2500rpm for a reason, not 'cause it's mad at you 'cause you didnt buy it synthetic oil for its last oil change...

Pull codes first before you start futzing around with other stuff.

Did you also consider that the wiring TO the MAF might be bad, not actually the sensor?

Good luck

You missed my attempt at a joke. :/ Oil has nothing to do with it, I was attempting to equate the car throwing a hissyfit 'cause you didnt use synthetic to being similar to a woman throwing a hissyfit 'cause you took her to McDonalds instead of that expensive Italian place.

Which cars don't do, 'cause they're cars.

Whatever

Check codes, then go from there.
