i doubt its 80 million per night, hahaha....probably cost that much to build it, but that seems low too....

I wonder what makes this a 7 star hotel? There are other hotels in Dubai where each room/building are on its OWN ISLAND

they had that hotel on the travel channel awhile back. apparently that sail-shaped design aids in climate control of the building. they also have something like a 100ft geyser that shoots off in the hotel. stupidly crazy. the only time I have been in something fancy like that was at Hilton Head island for a month.

$3k a night was the cheapest room. Other rooms were $3.5 and $4k. WTF is their to do in Dubai?

I work at the Gaylord Texan and our presidential suites go for $10,000 a night, and I thought that was alot, even though here at work that site is blocked for me!

The "plurality" of people on this board are asian which means we wouldn't get any service there.

euless is funny. i used to play hockey out there occasionally.
that hotel is ridiculous, but all of dubai is. one of the members of their royal family is trying to start a racing series similar to F1 racing. it's called A1 and it looks pretty cool. check it out.

I would worry more about running off the roof than the game.

A lot of people from New Zealand, Austrialia, and Europe go there to vacation. I met a ton of people from those places while I was there. There is tons a shopping and even a lot of recreation to do in the country, its a lot more westernized than the rest of the middle east. Paying $3-4 for a beer kinda sucks though.

On the April 4th, 2005 episode of Fifth Gear (the British car show) one of the guys goes to Dubai to check out the prototype A1 Grand Prix car and the first track.
They claimed that the STANDARD for all of the hotels there was 7 stars....
And theyre gonna keep building crazier shit in the ocean, including a series of 300 islands, that when seen from above make a map of the world...
