i gutted my s13, and yanked everything i didnt need except for the dash. I saved about 200lbs (about 30 of that was sound deadning). I run the car like that on open track days, just for the shit of it. After a while though, all the little rattles and whatnot get annoying.

i find that road noise is WAY worse...but the rattles are gone w/ less interior (squeaks as well)

my ae86 was loud inside when i got it stock, and its still loud inside with no interior at all... damn loud differentials.

Gonna use dry ice to get all the sound deadening out? I've been contemplating removal of the sound deadening. I really like how the rear looks in the hatch after seat removal etc. Seems like I saved a good bit of weight, but a decent amount more could come out by removing all sound deadening and rear speakers.

Ahh, thanks bro! I am indeed local. Anytime works for me, as I'm in no hurry and still debating whether or not to remove it (it's my daily too). I'll email you or vice versa. Back to topic:)

You should weigh all the stuff and add it up just for fun

I was going to start taking out the tar last night but I went to Sears and picked up some tools, I spent like 3hrs there, lol. I snaped some wrenches and broke a few gear ratchet wrenches. Got a 254pc set for like 100.00, on sale. But on Wed I'll start for sure. I got to get it ready to start the body work and to paint it...

anyone know about hooking up a defi tach w/ or w/o a tach adapter to an SR20???
