hi i was reading about the JWT ecu but i was wondering if it can raise the sr20det rev limit to 9,000rpm? If not is there any more ecu's out there for the sr20det to raise the rev limit?

Thanks
Jimmy

G20T ecu goes to 8000 and no speed limit , but i dont know if it works with the JDM sr20 , and i dont know if it works with coilpacks

did u bother to call them? do it. jwt on a big scale is "stamped" upgraded ecu's. they are sorta generalized.

i would recomond enthrapy for sr tunning.

does the enthrapy raise the rev limit too?

I have an answer for you:

SHUT YOUR MOUTH

If you were trying to point out that having the limiter raised to 9k won't help him any, you sure have a real asshat way of doing so.

Just say it, don't hide it behind some pretentious asshole e-thug bullshit.

Anyway, Enthalpy ECUs remove the limiter completely.

Dunno about JWT, try calling them.

Most JDM ECUs that are tuned remove the limiter as well. (Central20, MINE's, Blitz Access, et al)

Good luck

ya know what maybe you aren't just a green behind the ears bobbleheaded newb. maybe you're really fuggin enlightened. tell you what. the day you show me proof that you own a car that has an SR20DET in it that revs to 9 grand and makes good power even 90% of the way i'll concede defeat.

thats what its all aboot... eh??

Removing the rev limiter via an ECU tune is pretty easy to do if you are comfortable messing around with the ECU. If you uncomfortable with it, contacting someone like enthalpy about doing it for you is probably the way to go.

For more about ECU tuning check out http://forum.ztechz.net/.

you can raise the ECU but make sure your head can keep up. Wouldnt recomend having stock head for it. Valve springs are crap. Ive seen 10k rpm redtops in japan but then again then again, they had a turbo that was big enough to suck in small mammals. T-66 iirc. Basically it needs the extra rpm to fully boost .

Scott/Enthalpy will remove the redline or set it to however you prefer but i would recommend a limiter to compensate for whatever mods you got

8k is more than enough to be honest with you...not like you got a 9k tach anyways.
