know the routine, but just to be on the safe side, I guess I should double check here.
The motor is local! So its one of those few times I can actually go look at a motor before buying it.
Sourced from Malaysia
Its a complete motorset with:
00' Motor w/ approx 22k
6 speed tranny w/ oem clutch
driveshaft
differential
uncut harness
ecu
MAF
Missing that i know of so far:
Intercooler and piping from throttle body to turbo-doesnt matter, EZ upgrade
Differential output shafts-$350 or so
power steering pump $???
no tach
Something is probably slipping my mind, so if I missed something, help me out

if you're buying an entire swap, shouldn't they give you the s15 pumpkin, which would already have the shafts on it...?

it is the entire pumpkin, and no, they are not, its just like any other JDM VLSD, if you have a 5 bolt, and it's a 6 bolt, u need the shafts

You should look out for an s14 motor. Get one of those instead. Unless you want to be jdm tyte with the s15 setup. Its just double the price for just a few more hp.
Compression would be a good area to check first.

well, the setup is going for about what an S13 redtop is going for so thats the only reason why i'm even considering it.
The guy bought it and doesn't have time to fool with it, so he's just wanting to get rid of it.

You should get the wire that goes from the Diff speed sensor back to the ecu or what ever it runs back too

It sounds like you got most things you need. As long as you have the diff and the driveshaft and the harness. It should be not problem. I did not have the diff or the driveshaft for my S15 engine. But the guys at LSauto installed it made the the speedo work and mod my driveshaft to make it work with my stock diff. But I think you get the S15 if you do not mind shifting a lot. If you can get it cheap then why not. To get it installed is only about $100 to $500 difference over a S14 or S13. Also the Differential output shafts for the S15 is hard to get. I had a S15 diff without the output shafts before so I just sold it. Good luck!
