Good thing is my dad has a shop and say it will cost around 200 bucks to fix and the dude gave me 500

dude don't even trip. It's only the plastic bumper. Bumper is like 40-100 a pop. Tail lights are 60-90. And then just paint. Consider urself lucky. YOu just made 300 bucks.

Wouldn't you have gotten a lot more if you just went through insurance? I'm sure a normal estimate would cost a bit more than $500 and you could pocket the difference/upgrade since your dad has a shop.

Paint for the bumper would be a good 120-150 right there.

lol dude, relax. It's almost done even. I just need to go pick up the bumper cover. Some dude told me he will sell me his for 20 bucks. I havent spent a dime of the 500 he gave me.

oh and it's not a shop as in a open to the public shop. It's a my dad sells cars and has a shop to fix any problems on them shop. Hell once he bought a 2004 explorer for 800 bucks that was flipped on it's side. He fixed it himself and sold it for 5k.

deductibles can suck my ****... screw that pay like 500 bucks for work to get done.. when it could be pocketed for something better... its true insurance companies love aftermarket parts.... and the consumer doesnt know what hes getting sometimes.....all in all ur gonna get reamed up the ass no matter what....unless u know someone in the biz, and do ur own parts locating....
