Last April I purchased my first 240sx, it was 1 week after Formula D came to Atl. So yes, I fell on the bandwagon I guess, I aws just ready for some RWD fun. I purchased the car with the motor simply bolted in, no wiring was done, alotta stuff was missing, Bottom line. It was far from drivable. I only payed 4 Grand for the car with a SR redtop swap and the guy threw in the RSR GT2 and Tein springs. So it was an aight deal.

Headlights were broken so i had to scrap those, hood ha dsome [censored] bondo work and crappy paint, otherwise straight body.

So when i get the car to my house, i take off the valve cover cus im curious as to what the motor looks like. And i notice the Rocker arm was laying down in the head. At the time i didnt know much about the SR, so i figured the motor was screwed and some valves were bent. So i took the motor out and planned for a full rebuild. I built the motor with OEM bearings, seals etc etc. Weisco pistons, Greddy valve springs, Greddy RAS, Cometic 1mm head gasket,Trust DP, RSR GTII and some minor port and polish performed by me. I will upgrade cams, intake, and turbo and manifolds etc later on when money is flowin.

Now onto my next project, Painting my engine bay. This was my first time ever painting anything. I did it out in the parking lot of our shop. No runs, no trash, just a few fish eyes cus the oil in the air. Its orion blue metallic from an 05 Mercedes C230. I plan to paint the outside of the car after i get my aero and clean up the body.

I still have a ways to go. i have to hook up the harness, Fab up intercooler piping, get a few more couplers, weld brackets on my intercooler, get a MAFS, get a test pipe made. And hopefully it will be running.

Every bit of work was done by me and no one else. It feels pretty good knowing that no one else has hand in building YOUR car and knowing you have the ability to do all that. The car is far from finished. Tons of suspension, body, interior, and turbo/motor work to be done. So stay tuned. PS: the other 2 volks are on Order, so dont ask... "why 2?"

Congratulations man, That thing has come a long way. That must feel great building your own car like that. I wish i had the time and ability to do my swap completely by myself, but seeing as it is my only car, i am having a couple of experienced friends of mine do most of it, since they know what they are doing. The car looks great though, and keep up the good work. Keep us updated with pictures and such.
