i've read up and searched a bit, but kinda still have some questions upon the altima brakes. I need new brake calipers/rotors/pads/lines, and my old lady's 98 altima has all of the above. its in the salvage yard though, she just completely put all new OEM nissan brake stuff on before she totaled it. i'm being told the altima brakes are the same identical part number and everything as the stock 180sx brakes? anyone know the truth to this? fitment?

Maxima (93-99?) calipers and Altima (93-97?) rotors. Good luck finding Altima rotors that will fit over your hub, that has been my problem...

Well, I think some people have been able to make the Altima rotors work...maybe there is certain brands that work. Nothing I tried from Autozone or O'reillys worked...yet to try Napa or brembos. I've had to use used 180sx rotors from front clips. I guess the inside of the rotor can be machined to fit...Let us know how it goes...

yeah, all i have are some junk-y ones that look ok. i was looking at some brembos, but not money for a while. haha, it took me like 4 months to get these parts: total cost = $50 !
school kills
if you, or anyone else, have access to brembos try em out. itll be a while before i can afford those.

the rotors i got from advance auto work fine. i got the like $35 ones, not the cheapest ones.
you need maxima calipers, maxima pads, altima rotors, and 240(banjo style) lines.
Nismo: the calipers will not work with 240 rotors, they are larger than the stock brakes, same OD as 300zx brakes.
