Anyone play an instrument? If so fill us in... Ive been playing guitar sense I was a lil chap. Current rig is a USA strat with SRV texas special pickups, playing though a tube 60 hughes n kettner amp. I have a drum set and bass as well, but they are lower end. Squire 4 string bass that i play though a fender 100 solid state amp, and a cheap percussion plus drum set, my double bass pedal retails for more than the drum set itself lol... but with a nice set of heads the sound decent. My fav stuff to jam along with on guitar would prob be blues classic rock, and old school pickin n grinnin country (johnny cash, white lightning) I was into metal for a long time but grew out of it... Drums and bass would defiantly have to be funk.

I play drums as well, been playing for 8 years I have a Pearl Export Select set with a bunch of cymbals, Zildjian A customs.
And I have now been dabling with my girlfriends bass guitar which is pretty fun to mess around on.

I have a 6-string Fender acoustic, a 5-string Rouge bass, electronic drum kit, and alot of equiptment (home studio). My fav is my electric guitar though. I built it myself. It's a Barritone 7-string. Tuning is, standard but lower, with what would be the lowest string on a 6-string being d, and the rest matching. And the 7th string tuned to g. The Bass is tuned the same. (yeah the lowest string on the bass is extremely low). The guitar I built is mahogany body, maple neck with ebony fret board, with stainless fret wire, and electronics I had left over from a previous 7-string. Anywho, yeah, music is freakin awesome. If I'm not playin with cars, I'm writing music. Everyone that writes music gets props from me, even if I don't like the music.

I used to play drums. Pearl 5 piece. My brother still plays and just got some Neal Peart cymbals and a pretty sick double bass pedal. I was more of a mallet person though.

i've got a drum kit, but i haven't played it in probably a year or two now. it's a 6 piece pearl kit with a kickass tama snare, zildjian cymbals, and a pearl powershifter eliminator double bass pedal. oh yeah, i've got an LP cowbell on there as well....just in case.

ive been playing drums for 8yrs and guitar for about 4 or 5.

i had to sell my set when i moved into my old apt, due to noise rules and space problems, but i still have my guitars and amp:
fernandes monterey pro
ibanez AX series 7 string
peavey raptor (my 1st guitar strat look alike)
fender ultimate chorus amp
i had a wicked ghetto drumset, a percussion plus with all zildjian cymbals (hi hats, 2 crashes and a ride) but i have friends who let me play theirs once and i while during jam sessions so i stay fresh :D

I played drums in various bands during the 90s but not anymore. The last set I had was a 6 piece custom. It was Slingerland marching components converted to a sit-down set. 24" Kick, Concert toms and 12x15 Marching snare converted from gut to wire. It was stupid loud.
I also have a p-bass with hipshot tuners and some other trick stuff. I just noodle around on it.

That's why I have an electric kit now. I didn't like it at first but I got used to it.

I used to use a kit with a marching snare. Didn't convert to wire though. I love the woody, snappy-ness, of marching snares.

I've been playing bass for 4 or 5 years now. I play an Ibanez ATK300 bass, all active etc. An Ampeg B2R head, and an Ampeg BSE410HLF cabinet. I also play a little acoustic here and there on my Takamine Acoustic. I play bass in a band called Good Question though, and we actually just finished recording in the studio last week. here is a song off the demo. what do you guys think?

bullSHIT... Haven't you seen the Technics ads with Tony Touch and God knows who else that say "this is MY instrument"? I would like to get a pioneer CDJ setup so I can work with CDs (since I have so damn many) in addition to the keyboard I KNOW I will buy and the guitar I plan to learn to play in order to purchase.

I play guitar and drums.

Mesa Dual Rectifier Solo head with marshall 1960A Cab( four 12's)
One Jackson King-V Dave Mustaine Signature Series(for sale)
One Epiphone Gibson Les Paul rip-off(plays really well)
Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah Pedal
BOSS RV6(model#??) digital delay pedal

Fender Electric Acoustic 22 fret with cutaway.

About to buy a Jackson made in Japan, super light and sturdy and plays awesome. The pickups are decent for the price..about 500 bucks. My favorite i've played so far.

Sold my Tama Rock Star drumset
It had 3 crashes, 2 splashes, a ride, an x-hat, a high hat, 3 toms+floor tom, piccolo snare, 2 bass drums with iron cobra pedals.

stuff i hate

fenders
gibsons
tremolo's that are hard to keep in tune
heavy guitars
guitars without dual humbuckers
senior citizens

i like the twang of a single coil myself, i love the raunchy down home blues style i get out of my texas specials and a tube amp.... if you want that thick sound just switch it to the inbetween... my answer to humbucker

Andrew Bohan

my dean markley has a humbucker. i love the sound. but i hate the rest of that guitar. hahah it never stays in tune and the neck is sticky.

i wanted to get single coil sized humbucker for my strat but i never got around to it.
