Ok... we know that a turbo timer has 3 power wires.... A constant 12V... Acc..... and ON. I want to find a way to leave my lights on when I get out of my car... and when the timer runs out... it cuts off my lights.

Now I would think all you'd have to do is run the power for the headlights to the turbo timer wires and you'd be good. Obviously if you took out the headlight switch... when you cut the car on... the lights would stay on all the time. SO! If you took the wire going to the fuse box for the headlights...cut it, and ran it to the ON wire for the turbo timer... It should work. You'd also eleviate leaving your lights on when you turn your car off. :-)

I just hope that the fuse for the IGN. can handle it. ANYWAY, has anyone done this.... or plan on doing it??? Is there a better way???? HELP!

oooh, cool idea

i've never thought of this, but another nice thing about having that is that if you park in dark areas, your lights will illuminate your surroundings a little bit, so you dont have to walk away from your car in the pitch dark

I would think all you have to do is tap into the the wire on the Timer that keeps the motor running. So tap into the "Out to Ignition" on the Timer and run that wire to the headlights with a diode in between. What this will do is keep the headlights on as long as the timer is running and the diode is there to stop power from going to the "Out to Ignition" wire when you turn the headlights on. The purpose of a diode is to allow power to go only in one direction. I think that's about it.

I've got to give this a try when I get my turbo in.

I would run a relay to the healights not a crappy diode.

S14DB - in this case you're still utilizing your stock relays to turn on the headlights because the power from the stalk is going to the headlights relay which turns on your headlights. What the diode is doing is just keeping the power from the stalk from going to the Timer. I don't see why you would need a relay in this instance but I could be wrong.
