sylvania silverstarts are the brighest, also if you relay the lights off the battery it will make it brighter.

I've got Piaa bulbs, and they're not that bright. I paid 80 for two.

the sylvania silverstars arent that entirely bright, the generic JP bulbs were brighter(brighter and burn out faster >.>), but the sylvanias do have pretty nice and low amp draw.

I have a pair of Hella H4 +50% that are pretty nice. Nothing compared to HID though. I used them for about a week.

this is for my s13 pop up headlight

i am actually using the hella +50 right now recommended by clearcorner.

but i was wondering what other brands will be brighter.

the hella one is not bad, is just that i can always use some brighter bulbs.

any other ideas and comments?

Thanksa lot

Contact the company and see how much heat the housing can withstand. You don't want to put an extremely high wattage (Hot) bulb in there and it melt the housing. But, I'd do HID... I've had them in all of my cars as well as my bike. I love them. Nothing like it. Remember... if you decide to go HID.... The lower the number... the more white the bulb will be. 4200K is equal to daylight.

I'd hate to see an H4 Euro housing on a 14.

I'd say anything upmarket by Phillips or Hella is a good choice.

OSRAM Silverstar or Philips Vision Plus. DO IT.

Definitely. OSRAM silverstar is +50% and is better than the american SYLVANIA. Sylvania is a tinted blue bulb. Any tinted bulbs in general reduce quality. If you ask Daniel Sterns, he will tell u, OSRAM Silverstar or Phillips vision plus. The Osram are only available overseas. Here's a link to one site.

When i find it, I'll post the link of the review comparing different bulbs.

I have a set of the OSRAM Silverstars (not Sylvania ones) on my H4 conversion housing. Pretty good light. No blue tint, looks very normal but just bright. On a down side, they do burn out faster than normal bulbs because of the higher output.

You can find them on Ebay.

Click on the american flag and you can buy them in dollars
~$35 or so for the OSRAM Silverstars.
(If you dont like eBay, or like real companies for some reason)

(Any ideas on the blue OSRAMs?)

Just found this place in CA:

I have had great light ouput from Mtec both reg lights and now with HID, on 4 different cars. US silverstars aren't as good as I hoped and they burn out every 4-10 months. PIAA lights are ok but very overpriced.

QFT.
I don't know how many ricer bulbs I've seen blown on newb's cars because they didn't build a beefier harness.

I like that setup looks real nice on your car.. might consider it; how much did it run you?

would you have any more pics of them?

keiofficee, the higher the kelvins the more purple/blue the light will emit.
4300k to 5300k is the whitest light can get.

AllenRPS13, i feel sorry for the people that drives infront of you. look at the glare and hot spots!

hypertek, why buy a harness? build your own for a few bucks.

susuki1220, silverstars or mtec are fine. there's no need to go higher for a halogen application. Or you can step up your game and go hid retrofit.

I have the same kit, don't like it besides the weight savings and clean look. it's really not designed for the us market (lhd). i get weird cutoffs and all sorts of ppl highbeaming me, so now they point to the ground and i see maybe a good 6-8 ft.

it's far from a drop in kit. It's Dual Projector retrofit (2 projectors on left and right headlight = quad) on an NSX.
One projector is Honda s2000, the other is Infinite FX45 Bi-xenon.
