ok i searched and couldnt find anything and have never owned a piece of carbon fiber until i bought this new car. Just wondering if you can just use regular car wax on a carbon fiber body piece?
thanks

wax is for the finish, not the material. Many carbon pieces only come gel coated and need to be sprayed with clear coat.

Wax actually helps assist in keeping the clear coat from fading, and provides a better appearance for SHOW! ! ! As long as you buff afterward with a buffer preferrably, it will cover all crevices that the hood incorporates from design. Ever notice when your hood has waster on it, it will sit. thisis because the clear settles within the seems of the carbon pattern, here's proof: take a window sweegie, and run that side down the hood after you've completed washing the hood area, you will find that the remaining water follows, instead of just flowing down itself.
