do it right. i decided a long time ago that the battery is goin in the trunk. a couple days ago i ordered the taylor battery relocation kit from summitracing.com.
http://www.makotoseven.com/240/level1/batbox.jpg
the kit includes everything needed. 2 gauge cable, rubber gromets, good solid parts, and a case that looks more pimp than hell. some people wanted to know about the quality and i gotta say for 112 its a good deal.

You guys just blew your money on crap.
You can buy a plate, a piece of wire, and terminals for less than $20. Those boxes are great for a non-sealed, ventable battery, but for anything else it's just bling. No purpose.

A lot of sanctioning bodies require a vented box.
It's also for crash protection too.

to race at a track i was under the impression that a box of some sort is required to contain the battery whether its a gel cell or not. since the marine battery boxes look like butt i decided to just go all the way.
hotrod TV told me to and hell yes it is bling.
woot- hell no, i'm painting the rest of the engine parts black to match the current look
igsdan- that has always been a long term goal. by the time i get around to it i'll have tons of work done on the car and kits will be more readily available.

Contrary to popular belief. A vented box is req even if you are running a sealed battery.
Thats the one i use, and it will fit anything from a half, to full size battery. Good stuff.

i can only guess that his implication is that im a ricer but i must disagree. if i were posting pics of a flat black fastback with meshies and cheap coilovers with aspirations of SR20 ownership THEN perhaps i could be confused with cardomain's calibur of users.

soo..... whats wrong with cardomain??? are you on drugs?? whats your major malfunction scumbag?

I think his point is that not everybody cares about Makoto's Latest Purchase(tm).
Maybe if it was an install thread it would be cool, but a picture of a battery box doesn't really help anyone...
