s14 seat belt won't retract!

whenever i take off my seat belt, it won't retract back in.  i just have to lay it next to the door so it won't get caught in the door.  anyone know how i can fix this?

You should take the panel off and see if anything is caught in the way or if you just need to replace the whole thing. They cost some $100+ to replace.

because it's a federally regulated safety device, Nissan warranties for life of the vehicle. if your local dealer gives you any crap about it, tell em Nissan does cover it. it should be free, even if the car warranty is up! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
