from the looks of the 4 brands i have seen in person, tein, tanabe, silkroad, and kazama, the kazama tension rods are the beefies(sp) if im not mistaken there about the same price as silk roads?

Kazama tension rods have a 28mm body. Kazama generally is thicker than all other brands in their products, the RUCA looks like a caveman club.
Beefy like Chef Boyardee.

Cusco makes the most beefy parts, but they're not a direct manafacturer part. Nearly any of the reputable companies make similair parts with similiar hardware, it's just down to name and price for the most part.

also Kazama (and Uras which is similar if not the same) are duralumin, whereas Cusco are steel. Silk road/section and Tanabe are identical, it seems.
