If i understand correctly and u mean how can u make your car accelerate (get a grip) from the standing position faster, i would say change to wider rims, get tires with better grip and get LSD installed... All I can think of right now that is not a major upgrade....

Side Question: How wide has anyone went with their tires? I heard people doing 255 rear... will that normally fit? or you have to adjust something?

I don't have a problem with grip right now, i need to accelerate quicker, everything it stock so far.. i am thinkin about an performance exhast, intake, bosh 4 head sparks, bosh sparkplug wires...i dunno how much that stuff will help, see i am kinda new at this ( i have had my car for 3 days:D), cause i raced my friend in his 89 Mazda 626 and he kicked my assetes off the line but then i caught up with him about an 1/4 a mile down the road

Hmmm funny he beat you at the beginning.... cuz 626 is heavier and ... but if he had manual, then no questions.... Well, the boltons should give you 20-30hp at least. I personnally would recommend VLSD, since as I heard it's pretty helpful and people were positive about the thing.

I got my 97 about 2 months ago myself... and it's bone stock (except for the mp3 player <- bet that gives me a couple hps don't ya think <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>). I'm planning on going turbo some day <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Power brake, stand on the brake and press on the gas til it feels like it will over power the brakes, then let the brake go and floor the gas. DO NOT nuetral drop, which is sticking the car in nuetral reving it up and dropping it in to drive.

Getting light weight rims might help out a little too with the mods you mentioned.
