I bought my 240 6 months ago and the previous owner put some "Champiro 128 GT" tires on it. I had been assuming they were cheap ass pepboys tires all this time. I got curious though and started googling, and I can't find anything! No real reviews or any data, at least not in english. It looks like they're much more common in europe. I found this page, apparently belonging to some kind of distributor or something http://www.globaltraco.com/product_detail.asp?prodid=322&catid=67&subcatid=72 and realized my tires are V rated. What kind of cheap ass tires are V rated?

So are they any good or not? Anybody know? I've never driven my 240 with tires other than these, so I really have no idea. I think they suck. I just want to know if I'm making a mistake spending $400 on a set of tires to replace these.

lol i believe their from wal-mart, fun to beat on and dirt cheap, good for a noob drifter that wants to kill some tires

some champiros models are GREAT TIRES
last drift events in the rear for quite sometime
decent grip (ntohing crazy but not total crap too, like an ES100 type grip)

overally not the best, but if you are budget will work

what tires are you planning on replacing them with?

ES100s. I autocross and need some good grip, but it still has to be fully streetable. I can't afford another set of wheels and race tires yet, plus I'd rather get good on street tires first.

A little off topic, but would getting 205/55/15 tires really give me that much better performance over 205/60/15? I drive on the interstate a lot and gas mileage is of great importance.
