sorry if its a stupid question :ugh: but do i just unplug the o2 sensor and the wires connecting to it and replace them with a new one?
just unbolt and re bolt? anything i should watch out for while doing this?

Yea, it's just plug and play. Pretty simple depending on how difficult it is to reach your O2 sensor.. not sure what you're driving. You might need a special O2 sensor socket if you can't fit your wrench in there to loosen old sensor. The socket is basically a deep socket with a section cut out of it so you can slide it over the O2. The new connector will plug straight into the existing wiring if you get the correct sensor for your car.

What are you driving and what o2 sensor did you get?
I'm thinking about the Bosch universal. Is crimping hard?
