I have searched and searched and no luck. Someone hit my drivers side fender on my 1990 240 hatch. Yesterday I tried taking the fender off and got all of the bolts off BUT near the headlight I cant seem to find the mysterious bolt that is keeping it from coming off?? I got every visible bolt off and tugged at it hard but no luck. Anyone that has taken off a fender have any tricks or know of a hidden bolt? Thanks!

I'd suggest taking your front bumper off first. there are 2-3 nuts on the fender/bumper and a couple of studs (i.e. pulling the fender off with the bumper still there would be a BITCH) as well as a bolt towards the top of the fender that I belvie you get from through the hood, its right towards the front of the fender where it its going from the hoodline to the bumper.

Other than that its just the bolts along the hoodline, under the car and inside the door. Open the door up and you'll see the bolts, just be patient with those ones they are a bit of a pita.

there is 4 bolts/nuts on the front of the fender
3 by the bumper (near the resonator area)
one at the top
Plus the suppurt bar
Be sure to pull up and then pull from the back with the headlight up and without the cover (black plastic thingy)
Its easier that it sounds.
When installing, DONT overtight the screws. They break super easy.

Yeah i stripped a few of the screws trying to put it back on, until I get my new fender! But i got the right side of the bumper to come off but it was the left side, somewhere near the front bumper that is holding it down! Thanks for the replys!
