been seeing a lot of sigs and more threads about bikes. just curious and wondering how many of you guys ride? some questions if you do too.

do you guys prefer one over the other? (car vs. bike)
do you guys take the car or the bike more often to the twisties?
do you guys prefer drifting or stunting? (if applicable)
do you guys have more track experience with the car or bike?
when the seasons over, do you guys feel guilty "leaving" the bike behind?

ill start, i ride 2002 cbr f4i. fresh silver paint, remus grand prix carbon fiber high mount slip-on (whew that was long), chopped rear fender, reupholstered silver passenger seat, brand new metzler m1s with a 190 out back :D

for those of you in the bay, are you guys on barf? any SBFers?

poor baby waiting patiently while i was painting the s14

due to the fact that top speed runs happen on every vehicle i ever drive i choose to avoid bikes because they would invairably be my doom.

p.s. if i got one it'd be this:

I've been seriously considering picking up a Ducati Monster.

Either I get the bike and keep the 240 as it is, or I get a swap or turbo the Ka, or abandon the 240 completely and get an E36 M3.

Somehow whatever I pick, I still think I'd end up getting a bike too.

Considering picking up a bike to drive to work, as gas prices are becoming a bit too high. Still just thoughts as i think id be too lazy to get the liscense, but if i go through with it, will probably end up with a low line kawasaki ninja.

Yeah, it's bad news, the shop is literally 4 blocks from my loft. What started as a search for a used 620, now has me considering a S2R and I almost want a 749dark (but then my bike would be worth more than twice my car).

I'll probably end up with an '03 or '04 glossy black 620. If the addiction really bites I can always upgrade.

I have an 83 GPZ 550. I would like to ride my bike more, but since it's carbed it take time because I have to let it warm up a little, put all my gear on etc. so it's more of a hassle if I wanna go somewhere fast. I basically use it to drive to school (cheap parking permit, nice spots right up front, 60mpg, and I can lane split when traffic gets bad). And I do go riding on the weekends with my friends when I can. I have found some really good twisty roads around my area that I never knew were there. I love riding with my friends because everytime we go, we find a new cool area. We never take the freeway to places because taking side streets you find a lot of awesome stuff.

Btw, that is a sweet bike SW20. I first wanted a cafe style bike when I started riding, but now I sit on them at the dealerships and I can't even stand that for 5 min. Naked standards all the way!!

here is a picture of my bike. Not bad for $450 bucks eh? 65hp, six speed tranny. Enough to get me into plenty of trouble :Ownedd:

I have an 85 Honda Spree...
http://www.jacksscootershop.com/images/Honda_50/85_Spree_red_3.jpg http://www.2wf.com/images/upload/SpreeClock.JPG (i don't have pics of my actual spree...but it's exactly like this one except more sicker...cuz it's mine.)

80mpg. .6 gallon tank gets me about 30-40miles depending on elevation changes
top speed 40mph??(pegs out) downhill,tucked,w/backwind
front metal wire basket, rear milk crate zip tied to luggage rack

i use it to to go to school about 8 or 9 miles from my house. It takes about 25 minutes to get there, funny thing is it takes almost the same amount of time in my 240! I catch up to traffic during red lights. You should see the expression on people's faces when i roll next to them after they blew by me 3 lights back....priceless

i'm confused. isn't a cafe racer a stripped down standard anyway?
http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/gif/cb550.jpg I'd like to have an old honda one of these days....a monster would be nice, but out of the question....perhaps the honda would be more reliable anyway?

a pic of me with my old bike, it was a 98 honda cr250.... man that thing was wicked fast.... the pic here was taken the first week i got it, i dont have any of it after i tricked it out.... i dumped an ungodly amount of money into the suspension and motor of that bike, it accelerated so hard that it would almost hurt your shoulders from the force of it jerking your arms foward.... but you gotta consider, the bike weight was prob under 300lbs by far, and near 60hp.... so you do that math.... i miss the beast.... ill have to get another 2stroke 250 bike one of these days...http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/Alligatorbling/cr.jpg

#1 preference? depends on weather but usually the bike unless im tired.
#2 tough one, both can be so much fun. Right now the bike cause the cars suspension sucks ass.
#3 eh screw drifting and stunting. Auto-x and touring/spirited riding is my thing.
#4 no track experience with the bike
#5 I hate winter cause i cant ride but i dont feel guilty, the cars keeps me warm..

Ive got a 95' zx6r and my old (now my g/fs) Ninja 250. Both are stock, I just keep mine running. I really want a new Sv650s but everytime i have the cash something comes up, like the car breaking. someday hopefully.

Old picture of before i bought it. Ive removed all the silly "ninja" stickers sincehttp://l00001.myspace.com/00001/77/93/1543977_l.JPG

Yeah I like the older bikes as well, but I hate all the little things that come with used bikes. Hence why I want a new one.

Lol yeah my girl rides sometimes, she is a little wary now though. Last summer she got her lisence and that day we went riding. She crashed making a low speed turn in front of me. I had to dump it or hit her :wtc: Fixed both bikes but she is now affraid of it.
