I've owned this Manual 91' 240 for 2weeks

Problem:
1. when clutch has foot rested on it, clutch will slowly drop to the floor and stay there. This happend once while driving. While the clutch was limp on the floor the car stayed in gear and i could accelerate. If i pull/push it back in the "up" possition the clutch works fine. If I use the clutch straight on/0ff it works fine. this has been going on since i got the car. :ugh:

my guess is i might have air in the lines somewhere and i should bleed them.

2. (not sure if this is related to #1) At around 5-6k rpms the car wont accelerate anymore untill shift to higher gear. I've done this twice once on freeway and once on reg streets and i swear i smelt clutch though the clutch wasnt in. i could be wrong about that and this may be missleading. :ugh:

I changed sparkplugs/oil changed twice/fixed oil pressure sensor/new fuel filter.

Sounds like the clutch master cylinder or slave bypassing fluid. I would check those first.

ok driving w/ it the last couple days it gets increasingly easier to shift. i can now press the clutch in around an inch while parked put it in reverse and it wont even stutter. so i can shift at the top of the clutch basicly.

does this mean i need a new clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder?

I had the same problem with mine. Its the master cylinder. Replace the slave too as its probably gonna fail. Pretty soon your MC will give out entirely and then its tow time. Its an easy repair.

i had the worst problem after i changed my master and slave... bled the clutch through 2 bottles and got little response. someone told me i should bypass the junction box. so i did. it worked imediately. wow. what was that box there for?. im glad i didnt pinch the line when i bent that metal rod down.

gl to anyone else who cant get clutch up, or clutch on the floor.
whats the box for?

It's a damper box so you can't feel through the pedal as well as you would without it.
