Well I just made my Q's a K's and just got in my Boost guage. I got on it to see what it was boosting stock since I am new to SRs since I have been toying with RB engines for awhile. Well when I got on it I noticed it won't even hit .4 boost. Think there is a vacuum leak somewhere? Any other possibilities?

Is the car in gear when you're checking the boost? It's not gonna show any boost if you're in neutral..

Hehe, yup it is in gear and moving...

Do you have an S14 T28? The S14 T28 actuators have actuators that open the wastegate at VERY low boost, due to the fact that the S14 SR's had electronic boost control. First gear in stock S14 K's in japan run the boost you are experiancing, if I am not mistaken it is like 5.5psi. It also will not let you reach stock boost pressure until you are up to operating temp.
If you have an HKS actuator tighten up the rod.

Boost leak testers are pretty easy to make. I just made one with a 2" abs end plug and male air compressor fitting. I wasnt aware of s14 t28's having wastegates open that early though.

Sweet, I will look into it. As for the actuator, are they universal on actuated turbines? As in will it also fit a 2530/35/40?

They are not universal, but what better time to buy an electronic boost controller? You could buy an HKS Actuator for your S14 turbo and it MAY fit other turbos but most other turbos come with an actuator anyways.

Hmm so not sure if it would fit a 2530, 2535, or 2540?
