I've had this shimmy for about 2 years and I couldn't figure out what it was.
I just replaced my pads and rotors over the weekend and now it's gone. :wiggle:

Wow. Didn't know you can fix a front end shimmy by replacing warp rotors, and pads. Congrats!!

Yeah, I don't know how it worked, but it did! It used to shimmy really bad when braking and then when driving normally at 50-70.
Go figure.

I have to bleed the brakes. I was too lazy to that.
As for mods....I'm pretty much broke. I recently bought new tires and did a tune up.
If I get a signing bonus from the job I am going after, it's all going into suspension.

HEHEHE!! Be prepared to deal with the infamous shimy problem dont matter what you do....I had it for years.......I replaced: springs, shocks, rotors, control arms, TC rods and ends, with all new parts. And also rotate the drive shaft 180 degrees for s*&t and giggles.....no effect.
Next I might try the rack bushings and I have the new "spring fix" for my steering rack.....this I will try last because is complicated to replace this 2.00 dollar part....
