I would like to upgrade my stock '97 LE wheels and saw the r34 GTR wheels on a S14 and thought they really looked nice. Anyone have an idea where you can buy these or how much they would cost? I should have saved the pic of that s14, if any of you have one would you mind posting it?
Thanks

expect 16-2200 depending onseller and quality (curb rash , tires etc)
fits fine
get spacers though at least a 20mm on a s14

theres a japanese company called "grenade" that makes the exact same wheels. same construction, finish and sizes with lower offsets. IMO, these look better because they have kind of a advan "recessed core technology" thing going on. very nice. 3 something a piece...thinking about it soon...

Grenades are not identical.
They are similar.
They are not the same construction either.

You've got to REALLY want R34 rims.
Personally, for that kind of money, there's tons of other things I'd rather have. You could have 3pc Work Meisters for that kind of skrilla....or deep dish 5 lug Watanabes, or something way cooler.

1) grenades dont loook like them. the new models definately not, the old modles could pass before they revised it
2) grenadse are VERY heavy, so disappointing. real gtrs are much lighter
3) same construction? i dont think so.
not same color or finish
have you ever seen them in person or just magazines? so sad. so sad.

arm...and a leg....plus your balls and your first born. R34 wheels cost bank. Better off gettin some fno1r-c. Or I have a set of stock 350z rims 17x8/8.5 +30 offset, pretty nice on an s14. check the for sale section.

guys, im just saying that theyre is a cheaper alternative. i saw these rims a week ago, so maybe i dont remember the details. so i stand corrected, they are not identical, do not share the same construction, or have the same finish.besides, it doesnt even sound like construction and weight concern kassroth as much as us...

lol they really aren't they expensive compared to nice aftermarket wheels, i got my set of r34s shipped with some tires for 1500 (thanks gsracer!)
the problem with r34s is if you want a set you better buy them when you see them available, very uncommon to see sets here in the states. Maybe different for the socal guys?
1500-3000 is a fair price depending on tires, condition, and if center caps are included
grenades don't even compare imo, r34s are LIGHT for 18x9 wheel and look hotter...once you get grenades over here you probably arent even saving money
not an s14, s13 pic, i just felt like whoring myself out

i dont know why i keep defending these wheels, but they are only like 300-400 a piece otd. i still think theyre nice. i realize that they arent the lightest things, but if you were to do spirited driving (autocross event/drift event) where it counts the most, you would probably switch them anyways. some people rock chrome while drifting, cant be too light. im considering the grenades for street use...when i do go to the track, slap the meshies...

who cares
i use the Regamasters at the track
the CR kais
getting TE37s and using those too
they are wheels
i prefer lightweight strong wheels
not heavy wheels. its not worth it.
you defedn them because you want them. it makes sense. validation!!

the Grenades are cast.
i think they are 5 pounds heavier per wheel.
the gunmetal ones could pass as GTR wheels... from a ways away.

You can bring a person to a well, but you can't force them to drink from it.

Thanks for the links guys. For some reason I thought the wheels were 17's... Oh well. And yes they are on the expensive side. Plus I would have to get them shipped to Canada and pay all them taxes! Maybe I'll keep my stock rims for now and look at fixing a few other things first.
