when I bought the car, it worked on every single one, but now the climate control only works on four. I only found one thread where someone else had the same problem, but noone really answered him..

right here... http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=23367&highlight=climate+control+problems

they say somthing about a resistor, but thats it, does anyone have any more info? or is there a fuse thats frucked up, or can I replace the climate control...

thanks in advance.

Sounds like it could be the Relay, my parents had a Ford Focus that had the same problem. Sorry if I wasn't much help

You need the blower motor resistor. Call up Nissan and tell them that. I guarantee that will fix it. Probably cost about $20 or so. Pull the old one out, plug the new one in and, bam, works on all fan levels.

There is no relay that controls fan speed.

The resistor is the problem, replace it.

The blower motor resistors are located under the dash on the right side, in the FSM I believe it is M50, located on the cooling unit.

The reason if anyone wonders why it only works on 4th speed is because it bypasses the resistors.

Up with the old thread.. I never got around to looking for that resistor, and today I did, and I didn't find any resistors on the right side of the dash. :) theres big ol things that might be resistors in the fuse box, but thats about it.

and I drove all over town looking for manuals for my car and had no luck.

would anyone be kind enough to point out exactly where that resistor is at?

The resistor pack is located on the passenger side of the car. Stick your head down where your passengers feet would be and look UP. You will see the blower motor and 2 pin connector for that and then further forward towards the front of the car you will see another connector that plugs straight up. This is the plug for the resistor pack. I believe its a four wire connector. There are two screws holding the resistor pack to the heater box in the HVAC air stream for cooling. When you pull it out, it will kind of look like a small circuit board. Its very inexpensive from Nissan (about 12 bux) and easy to replace. I cant remember for sure if you need to take off an under pannel or not... take a look...

Drops right out, looks like a credit card when removed. I've got one on Ebay right now, you can go view it to get a better idea.
