anyone see these control arms on ebay, dirt cheap, I wonder if they would be a nice upgrade from 11 year old parts, I mean it is just a replacement but a hellova deal I think,

If there is nothing wrong with your LCA, then there is no need to replace it with an oem replica, ya know? Your best bet would be to look into some polyurethane bushings for the front and rear control arms. If you find out were to get them seperatley (everyone sells master bushing kits) please do feel free to mail me.

An 11yr old LCA will also have an 11yr old ball joint in it which is definitely shot to hell. For $41 it's not a bad deal, go ahead and press a new bushing in it and you're set.

How much is a new OEM or brand name ball joint. I wouldn't want some unknowen with no guaranty breaking in half on yah.
If your arms are straight I would get Polly arm bushings and some brand name ball joints and rebuild what you have.

This is not an option Nissan only sells a LCA with ball joint pressed in. Not avialable seperatley. What you can do however is follow Yoshi's link and buy Polyurethane ball joints and get them pressed in your LCA.

TRW 104237 is $42 from Parts America(Advance Auto Parts, Checker Auto Parts, Schuck’s Auto Supply and Kragen Auto Parts). Lifetime Replacement Warranty

Moog K9509 are $59. 1 Year Limited Warranty
I would rather have one of these with a warranty than some unknowen brand.
The Polyurethane is in the endlink bushings not the ball joints.

You asked OEM, and my answer reflected such. But you're right I have Autozone duralast Ball joints in my s14 LCA's. Hmm, I could have sworn PDM sold Poly urethane ball joints; but now that you mention it I guess it would interfior with the oil cup at the joint. I guess you are right. Totally forgot about Moog though. I really need sleep, sinus's suck!

No such thing as a urethane ball joint.

Its a good deal if you need them.
$25 for ball joint and another $20 to get it pressed in sucks. In my case i did all of this then i hit a curb and for some reason the used lower control arm i got was really flexible.

i would only use OEM from the dealer or Moog for balljoints. From what i seen at work, if moog sees an existing problem with OE suspension, they go in and redesign to fix that. There is also a reason some of the balljoints out there are lifetime.

The LCA posted in an Altrom part. I have one on my pass. side awesome product for how much you pay, the "urethane" replacement PDM sells is just the same LCA with a urethane BUSHING* pressed in, not ball joint.
the seller in that auction in the first post is local, i exchanged e-mails with him last year.
he has a couple auto-parts stores in the GTA (general Toronto area).
they are just aftermarket arms, same thing as PDM.
