We should start planning a large So Cal meet. It should be in the LA/Ventura County areas. Best bet is to have some sort of BBQ where people bring things to eat. Any ideas?
Ideas:
Saturday
beach or a large park somewhere
sometime in June

Proposed places:
a park in Hawaiian Gardens off the 605 near the 22/405
in Camarillo by the outlets, meet up at the parking lot and eat at Applebee's or any other restaurant nearby
Hueneme Beach by the 101

I feel the same way too. That's why I'm trying to get peoples suggestions and ideas first instead of just making up the time and place already without input from other people.

Whittier Narrows was one place suggested on another forum. There's an entrance fee of $3 per car there.

Most people I've talked to say Whittier Narrows is a nice place. So I think Whittier Narrows it is. ANy suggestions on food? time? I say we do this around June, so we have around 2 months to plan it out and get the word out.

Here's the location/direction to the spot where the above photos were taken, and the spot of this meet.
60 Westbound - exit SANTA ANITA and you will exit straight till you hit Santa Anita, then make a left, go straight till you pass the freeway. The entrance to the park will be on your right hand side
60 Eastbound - exit SANTA ANITA (before finally exiting the freeway look to your right and you should see us already there) make a right at the light. The the entrance to the park is at the right
* the entrance is the first driveway after either (West 60) passing or exiting (East 60) the freeway , enter the driveway and go straight and you will be making a right once you hit the dead end to enter the section and pay your fees to the park and join the event.
