View Full Version : Do I really need shims?

My new KVR pads didn't come with shims and the previous owner didn't use them either. Are they really necessary.

Also, the dealer sold me cold plugs (NGK bkr6e-11). Should I use the standard ones instead? It's a stock s13/KA24DE.

Shims will quiet down the pad noise but they're not required.
