to replace my racing slicks... i mean worn out Azenis
Spring = time to start modding again. goal for this season is to increase the handling and get as much track time as possible. I got these as inexpensive and grippy street tire that i may use for auto-x and track days if i dont buy a dedicated track wheel setup.

I was thinking about getting those but I was not impressed with the 711's when I had them. How do you like the MX's?

people, 711 and MX are competely different class!!! MX is a performance tire really grippy great for track/autoX,
711 is cheap shit if ur on a tight budget/ricer. they suck when stretched too, get hard over time and crack.

Yes...MXs are the SH!T...711s are a cheap-o (but still decent) street tire.
I run them on my S14 (235/45-17 F, 255/40-17 R) for track days and the occasional auto-x...MUCH better than my old Azenis Sport when hot...Azenis get slippery, MXs start to grip BETTER when warm.
Two big thumbs up...I had 2 sets (245/40-17s on all 4, now the staggered setut) and I think the performance is on par or better than many of the higher priced options (S-03, KDs, etc...).

yeah i'm gonna give another positive vote for the MX's
i have 225/45/17f 245/45/17r (yes i know it's tall and my car is raked a little like a muscle car)
the grip is superb, the sidewalls are decently stiff, and they're cheap enough that you dont have to worry about some spontaneous spirited driving

YEAH for MX's!!! I am jealous!!
As for 711's they have a different tread compound, making a huge difference!

I just filled the cup ... on both those wheels and tires. Where did you get your Nismo wheels from?

I bought them from another board member around this time last year. These are the same wheels they sell at Nissan dealerships for the 350z

the only gripe i have about those nismos is that... well, the offset isn't as low and they're not as wide as i personally would like.
and it's a bitch getting the lower offset, wider lmgt4's here without selling a testicle.
but they're hot nonetheless, good job :)

yeah, im not too psyched about them myself. the 9.5 +30 is worthless because you cant put it on the front. It doesnt clear coilovers. I wanted to order a pair of 18x10.5's and run those in the rear, but i dont want to have to use a spacer for the 9.5 on front.
so im just going to stick with these because they are good enough for now. Hell, these sizes look amazing on the car as is.
