ok, heres the deal, my clutch system was loosing pressure somewhere and it would cause my clutch to not disengage or engage properly, causing me to grind gears. so i saw some fluid leaking from the slave cylinder, so i got a new one. well, i changed it, and now i cant get any pedal pressure. ive bled it over and over, the pedal just sticks to the floor. what gives?!

<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> the clutch is not pressurized. its not like bleeding brakes where there is vacuum.
just manually bring the pedal back up and pump it till you feel a firm pedal.
also bleed the dampner its off on the side and it comes before the slave

ok, could u explain that more clearly? i have closed the valve and pumped it several times, then opened it to get the air out, but then i do it again and again, and i still cant get a firm pedal... and i havent bled the damper, ill do that tomorrow

welcome to the wonderful world of trying to bleed a 240 clutch. every nissan tech will tell you they are annoying and hate them.
and they are. first start with bleeding the dampner. have someone pump your clutch pedal several times then hold it while you loosen the bleeder screw. redo that a few times then move to the slave cylinder and repeat the process for the slave a few times. and then see how it is.
also check for the bushing that goes on your clutch pedal if its not in there it will cause gear grind and not let you disengage the clutch correctly. that is very overlooked and can be a problem that wontt even be thought of

ok, so ive been tryin to do it, but it still wont work. ive now replaced the master cylinder and the slave, and have used 2 quarts of fluid trying to bleed them. still, no pedal. what gives?! i dont see what else to do...

I know your pain,
I just changed those components last week,
I went through 8 bottles of brake fluid trying to get pressure.
Eventually it will work.
Be patient, you will be happy with the result.
