View Full Version : do i need the strut mount seal?

when i changed my suspension, the strut mount seal were all messed up. so i didn't put them back on. so, do i have to have them on? by the wway, I am having these pillowball upper plates front and rear.

in case you are not sure what the strut mount seals are.

#9 is what im talking about.

I would definitely put #9 back on. Maybe you were referring to #19? I have had them out for over a year, nothing has happened yet, but that doesn't discount something happening in the future.

yes. #19 was what im trying to say.
my though is, something between metal is better than just metal against metal right?

yeah, but then again there shouldnt be any movement cuz it should be bolted down pretty tight

even if its bolted down tight, vibration still manages to get in there somehow :)
