I have a '91 240SX, what can I expect to get for a 1/4 mile (top speed, time . .) run? I have no mods, and car has been used as a daily driver, with about 120K miles on it.
Thanks,

With no mods they are predicted to hit 15.9 to 16.3 in the 1/4 as far as mph.....not sure.....And this all depends on the driver.

Well sorry, I'm speaking of the s14, but I would say that's a pretty good target time for the older 240s.

My friend hit a 15.9 at the WIC. But, in his defense, it was his first time at the track, and he had crappy S-rated tires. He has a 97 SE

In his defense? That's a good time if he's stock.

He has a black car, right? That's the only 240 I saw run at WIC. I think I have some video of it running.

Yeah, it was black. He was the only 240 present to compete. His only mods are an intake and N1 exhaust. He wanted to run it to see what times he can hit with a basically stock KA motor before the motor swap. He also dynoed his car at CARBOY motorsports when it was completely bone stock. He dynoed a peak 132 HP and 146 ft.lbs TQ. Pretty strong motor. I'm sure he could've hit 15.5 with better (i.e. Z-rated) tires.

I don't even own a 240sx, but i'm planning on rebuilding one. I want to get a 1989-1994 fastback, and drop a SR20DET engine from the Silvia in it. Does anyone know how fast i could expect from this? It would be a turbocharged 210-235HP rear wheel drive car. Does anyone have a car like this? *sighs* the world import challenge I live right by houston raceway park, but i missed it. Hope everyone had fun that went. Atleast Houston wasn't flooded like last year when it got cancelled. Biggest import event to ever come to houston, and it floods the worst it has since decades ago. Bummer.

I have just done the swap and I can't give you firm numbers on 1/4 mile times but I will say that it is a hell of a lot faster than the ka. Look to see your times drop by at least 1.5 secs. I want to work out the bugs before I run it that hard i.e. coolant leaks and a drive shaft that squeels when the car is cold and doesn't make a peep when it is warm. I think its the bearing conecting the drive shaft if anyone has any imput on this it would be greatly appreciated. The squeel almost sounds like old brakes on a bus.

A stock red-top Sr should run high 14's low 15's. that is with everything else on the car stock. Like stock exhaust, intake etc.. slightly modded at stock boost, w/ exhaust, and new intake, and maybe intercooler. that should get you about 210-220 whp. look for low 14's. Of course once that is done, throw on a boost controller, and push yourself well into the 13's w/ more boost
