Does anyone know where i can get the OEM one??? Oh does anyone have a pic of it on the car with the kouki lights??? I have yet to see a picture of it on the fastback. Yes i searched but no threads with pics was found.

More importantly, why is that panel rice but the duckhead shift knob and painted bezel aren't rice? I don't really have a problem with that (other than the shock that anyone would think that duckhead looks/feels good) but the hypocrisy slays me.

well if we're on the topic of makotos car, the racing seats, wheel, shift knob w/ stock suspension and motor seems a bit weird...

Well I'm not really here to bash on anyone's car, especially not his since bashing on a stock car is pretty ridiculous. I just don't understand where the line of what's rice and what isn't is drawn.

I do think it's a bit silly to pay $150 for that panel just because it's a pretty JDM piece, but that hardly makes it "rice" in my book.

Logic, yes. I'm impressed. It certainly doesn't answer the question though. I realize how you painted the bezel and why you needed a shift knob. What I don't understand is how those parts are not considered rice but that panel is.

No worries, though. I applaud your logic. Seems that it's lacking in a lot of threads around here.

I wonder how long it will take before I'm referred to as "Chuckles". I'm giddy with anticipation.

okay, if you get that panel for cheap/free and you need it then it isn't rice. however, if you go out of your way and pay a ridiculous amount of money for that little piece of plastic that doesn't look as nice as a plain gloss black piece... im calling it rice.

oh, and how is my 20 dollar pistol grip knob worse than these 60 dollar JDM nismo knobs? oh, cause it isn't popular. cool, bite my chode.

See, that makes sense. The price is definitely ridiculous so I can see where you're coming from. We all have different views of the term "rice".

As for the shift knob, you're probably right on that too. If you recall, I just couldn't imagine why anyone would like it, but I can't imagine why anyone would do a lot of the things they do, so that's no different. I like the $20 Greddy shift knobs to be honest. I like the feel and they're much easier to remove than the stock one that gets stuck every time for some reason.

mine has three hardened steel screws that stab the shaft and its wrapped in nice leather. the way its hooked at the top actually makes the shifts seem better cause i dont even have to grab the knob to go in 2 or 4.

oh, and it loooks piiiimp. in case ya haven't noticed i'pm not really goin for the JDM look (kouki tails excluded cause they're just sexy as hell)

IMO rice is considered anything that doesn't add to the overall driveability or performance of the car. a shift knob or racing seats is not rice since they enhance the driving experience. that tailight bezel is. now I'm not saying that its nescessarily bad rice, but rice none the less.
