this post was locked, but yea, this fourm is'nt for "greivances" but you know what...this is history.
Ian Hannigan....is a peice of shit.
My history...i have never owned a nissan in my life, love them, think they are great, but due to this guy screwing over 5 people and one of them being a friend of mine i got involved.
Ian, is again a peice of shit....history proven....so much so I repo'ed his car, and had it shipped over 20 states to reno, nv to another board member. Again...he's a peice of shit.
Story:
Ian my friend xrockoutx as i know him on most fourms bought a front end from Ian Hannigan. Now Mr Hanigann took the money and ran, were talking 2000+. He did this to a few other people as well. After calling some friends in florida, some people that i like to consider some hard hitting mo'fo's. I posted pictures of his house....pictures of his car...ect. Yea he's still a pos....there is a FBI FRAUD report on this guy....so if you've been screwed by him...report him he's going to jail.
I'm in a different postition and i'm going to find this guys address and everything and play with him again.
Some might even remember this guy.....he had the web site www.thelostprojects.com
we took his car, even though Ian raped it before it was shipped, he's not a man to be trusted. xrockoutx paid me for doing all this...actually i need to collect on his promise for some pizzas. Thats right...i got paid pizza to do all this.....so to the person who is either in contact with this prick, or been hit by him its not the first time....so its not a greviance...its history....so if you lock this thread...then your a sissy :fawk2:

no i was informed about this through Ian....if silvia had an archive of old fourms i'd be happy to find the related topics....
funny people here like to get screwed?
whogivesafuck...the people that got scamed over 10,000$ US...don't be a chimer...this fourm is known for the mods to delete threads, people scamming, yet nothing gets done, its pushed under the carpet.....not much of a community if you try to hide the problems that have happpend'
I'm a 3rd party to this yes....but i'd rather risk my IP on this then my friend who has a nissan that loves this site

Buffalo Daughter- I'm sure if you or one of your friends got screwed over(like I did) by this guy than you would care. I guess you don't care that your fellow forum members are getting screwed for thousands of dollars.

who said i didnt care? What good is it posting all this info on the internet on this forum? Plus pictures and so on and so on. It does suck that this has happen blah blah blah but what do you want me to do, cry him a river? People get fucked over all the time. You live and you learn. Sorry to hear about your troubles but simple put, werent you already told once and were pinked and or banned? If you really wanted to infom everyone you could have done it in a fashion where it would have a been a beware sort of thing instead of posting straight out info and pics like you said. Usually you would have like police of fbi? you said involved so you should let them handle it .

I'm not saying cry him a river. but why does everyone want to lock threads like these when it helps prevent people from getting scammed? if there was a thread like this up when I was making my purchase from this scum bag it would have saved me $309.

as stated a long time ago i believe, there should be a buy/seller rating or a thread posted in the FS section saying who to buy from and who not to buy from.
how about from now on, everybody post who they can vouch for. over at honda-tech, the fourm is sooo damn big, they rely on other members to vouch for them. when they make a good transaction, they put in the thread whom they can vouch for or talk to this or that person to vouch for me
LOL Lost Projects, damn what a scammer. I remember that BS from a few years back.
Mods here are so intent on saying "This is not a grievance forum....." but when you let one of the shadiest people ever on a Nissan forum continue to scam people it's like WTF, seriously.

When we let him on the forum? He was banned from here. That's about all we could do at the moment, especially since he is/was on dial-up.
And.. it's not our fault someone is in too much of a hurry to do a quick search for "Ian Hannigan" because there is a 8-10 page thread about him, and numerous other (i.e. pages of) threads about him.
If something sounds too good to be true.. it probably is. And when you don't see that poster anywhere but For Sale, and don't recognize his name from other forums... you should probably do a background check.

This is good in theory, but still requires someone to spend 20 seconds and search. This didn't happen.. because.. well.. you search "ian hannigan" and tell me if you'd buy from him just by reading thread titles. We can't legislate intelligence here. We can just trim up the lack of it.

i would like to thank Jeff240sx at this time for being an understanding individual in this matter. Please keep this clean this is a history lesson with this individual, its fact not fiction.
I'm going to be pulling up some archived post about ian, aka lostprojects...which alot of people don't know him as.

Thread opened and user unbanned over a massive misunderstanding that has been sorted out.
Anyway, this thread is not to get into a bitch-fest, or flame war, or it will be locked again.
There is good info here.. and another tidbit to pop up when someone searches for Ian Hannigan.

*particularly adressed to mods*
K.. so since this one is allowed, let's start a fricking grievance forum then...
why is it frowned upon by people if thread starters have been ripped off? My thread was locked a few days ago.. ive been ripped off just like anybody else has and my thread got locked. Try and help one another out by making a forum for it so we can have things taken care of instead of locking it...

Thank you for the suggestion Tygma. We're working on something similar. We realize there is a problem, we're just trying to determine the best way to deal with it. :This is not open for suggestions: Just letting you know we appreciate your opinion.

nods in agreement
can we make just 1 post for each person and invite buyers/sellers to post comments on that thread? or something like that..

i'd like to keep this post on topic, but for the newer guys that like deals on the interenet here are simple rules:
1)Never do a money order western union
2)If its to far for you to drive to pick up then its to far for your money to travel.
3)COD's are good its worth to pay the extra 2$ to ONLY accept CASH from the buyer and convert into a USPS moneyorder.
91CRXsiR
03-23-2005, 08:54 PM
i like COD too but some sellers are iffy about it because if the buyer flakes the seller takes the shipping up the ass and the COD fees.

You should always search for a users name before you deal with them. We may lock them but never delete them.

a la maxima.org...for example

Yeah, I made the suggestion to S14DB about a GoodGuy/BadGuy forum... like this-- http://orl.dsmforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7 Sure, it's a local board, but they have the same thing on others as well. Hell, the DSM community even has their own site -- www.goodguybadguy.org

We have a section. Called Reviews. It's one of the important links at the top. Somewhere in there is a subforum to rate vendors and private sellers. However, it's incomplete.. as A-K forum is open.. L-Z is not. Also, there seems to be a few other minor issues (users can only rate up to 5/10). We're looking into this, as stated by That Guy.. so everyone.. SHH.

Yeah, I worked at a shop for a while where a member of here (LB.Motoring) brought his s14 in and when the car was finished he stole the car back instead of paying. Because of a technicality in court he got to keep the car but I know how that shit feels because I spent like 40 hours on the RB25 swap. It was shitty.

Ever tried to keep a filing cabinet organized?
How about if I threw some paperwork from 2003 into your pile of 2005s?
That's basically what you're doing when you post in an "Ian Hannigan" thread about "LB.Motoring" aka "Robby".
Post about him on another thread or something.
If you know how forums work, then you should have some forum etiquette.

It's not the forum space that's the problem, it's how you've presented it.
